Viable Issues can only be used if you have installed both Confluence and Jira. The download consists of two cohesive Apps. In Confluence you need to install Viable Issues for Confluence while in Jira you need to install Viable Issues for Jira. |
Please note that you need the "System Administrator" permission in Confluence and "Jira System Administrators" permission in Jira in order to install and manage Apps. Please refer to the official documentation of Confluence and Jira for further information. In order to make Viable Issues work, your Confluence and Jira installations must have an established Application-Link. We recommend using the authentication type "OAuth (impersonation)". Additionally tick the "Allow Incoming" and "Allow anonymous access" checkboxes in Jira's Allowlist (formerly known as Whitelist) for the Application Link to Confluence so that Jira allows Confluence to be rendered there. Please refer to the official documentation for the Allowlist of Jira for further information. Unrestricted communication between Confluence and Jira is vital for Viable Issues to work properly. Make sure the firewall is configured accordingly. Please note, that at the moment Viable Issues always uses the first Application Link when reading from or writing to Jira. |
